Richard Mason

Caller

Richard started calling in 1987. He calls at events as diverse as festival ceilidhs, weddings in grand castles and parties on pig farms. Over that period he has collected and created a range of dances to suit most styles and abilities. Another of his achievements is running the percussive / Appalachian dance display team Firestone, which has performed both in the UK and abroad. Richard is one of the original group that started having sessions at Exeter University, originally hitting a djembe (or bongo) when he couldn’t reach the keyboard player to hit him.
